The vehicles
Speeds are metres a second and Halo's own, near enough: a Warthog does about eighteen, a Mongoose is faster and has nothing on it, a Scorpion does eight and does not care, and a Banshee does thirty and cannot stop.
Every kind

Pick anything from the table and it opens here: what it looks like, how it drives, every seat and the gun in it, and what it sounds like coming.

Reading these numbers
The engine is the speedometer
A vehicle's note rises continuously with its speed and it is the loudest thing anywhere near it. Engine range below is how far that carries — which is also how far away somebody can hear you coming.
Acceleration is what a vehicle is
Top speed matters far less than the two numbers either side of it. A Warthog's whole character is the thirty metres of run-up before it is worth anything, and the fact that you cannot stop it in time either.
Armour is a multiplier, not a pool
Health is the pool. Armour is how hard it is to hurt with small arms: a Scorpion at 3.2 shrugs off a rifle, a Mongoose at 0.7 does not.
Fixed wing and hover are different aircraft
A fixed-wing craft climbs by trading airspeed for height, so one slowed below its stall speed sinks. A hover craft holds altitude with nothing pressed and goes up and down directly.
